And what can you make with your SAB products?

Elementary Elegance, Everyday Enchantment

I made this card using the lovely and versatile Elementary Elegance stamp set, Everyday enchantment papers, Whisper white CS, Early espresso Ink, Poppy Parade Stitched Poly Ribbon. I saw the folded ribbon on a blog somewhere and thought it was  terrific so incorporated as a feature on the SAB example – Hope you like the simplicity of the card.

Next I have a card I made for MB. It was our ten year anniversary last week. MB always remembers, but when he saw my card in the lid of my suitcase he had to confess that he hadn’t bought a card for me….He thought I would forget or be too busy and didn’t want to embarrass me, well thats the tale he told anyway!!!!!   Unfortunately I am not much of a romantic really, I try hard but…so making this card was a stretch for me. Not sure why I struggle because I see pretty lovey cards and love them but struggle to make them myself. Anyway, here is my card.

I was quite pleased with the way this tuned out as the red hearts are glitter card stock sat up on dimensionals – looks better in real life!

At the weekend I headed up to Aberdeen to a crop with some lovely ladies but before I went I baked for my troop who were staying home. On thursday I made around 30 cupcakes for them, all iced and decorated. On friday morning my YS decided to take a couple to school for his mid morning break. When he returned from school just after four he came in with a demand that before I headed to Aberdeen I teach him how to make the cup cake mixture. Naturally I enquired why he need this skill in such a hurry?  “I have orders for a dozen cakes for Monday morning Mum” he tells me. Again I naturally panicked…was he being bullied? he had ‘orders’, was someone demanding his break snacks? No my little (he is six foot one and fourteen!) son had literally taken orders for the cakes and the boys were going to be paying him for them!  I made them Sunday night and Monday he came home from school with a pocket full of money. He handed it over with the enquiry ‘what is my cut then Mum?’  I had to explain to him about the value of reinvestment…..

So until next time…remember to stamp your place in the world! xxx

Sale – a – Bration…..What we made this time….and our next classes

Hello there – yes this is me being a tad more organised and getting my post out on time! there is lots to tell you so I will crack right on…

Sale – a – Bration is rolling on – I cannot believe that we are already half way through this but here are a couple more ideas that will hopefully inspire you and show you what you could be making with your FREEBIE stamps and paper set….I was inspired for this card by a picture frame design by Jenny Moors.Everyday Enchantment I love her work and often buy her tutorials for my groups. In this design, Jenny had made it a framed picture so I changed the colour scheme but still did the central flower using the heart punch. I love how this came out and am peaked with the colours – they have come out bright and vibrant – I will be really sorry to lose these papers and am stock piling them as much as possible!

Elementary Elegance

This one is inspired by a card I saw over on Jenni Pauli’s blog. Again I changed the colours and the layout very slightly but I am always inspired by Jenni and cannot help but CASE her work – I think I would do it in my sleep! This card uses one of the other stamp sets – Elementary Elegance – that are FREE when you spend £45 on anything from either the main catalogue or the current mini or a combination of the two! So many choices….

So what did the girls do this week? Well….they excelled themselves again! I am always amazed by how well they rise to the weekly homework. The homework was to create a card from the sketch of one of the other girls in the group…. here’s how they did….

Tangy Freshness

Crisp Clean lines

Paisley Heaven

Perfect Pearls and SU - perfect combination

Sooooo Cute!

This week was our final week before we take a short break. Our tuesday classes run for six weeks then I get a week off to re group and think up some more things for the girls to do. We usually go out with a bang…one final project which brings all our work together – this is what we made (for those of you who take it, yes this is the screen that was featured in last months Craft Stamper magazine…..)   It is a totally delightful project and I think everyone enjoyed making it!

Do you think you might have enjoyed making this project? We had a great time with it – ours is not perfect but it was much easier to make than we imagined – all credit goes to Linda Elbourne – the designer for Craft Stamper magazine, for  such wonderfully simple instructions. I totally enjoyed teaching this and love my own finished project too.

If you like the look of the projects we make  you could join us for our next project session…we have two coming up!  The first is our Stamp a Stack! – It is on 17th March at Table Table, Phoenix Park, Linwood. The cost is £15 and we will be making around 12 cards with a Spring/Easter theme.

Our next Technique Tornado Day is 24th March at Table Table,  Phoenix Park, Linwood. the cost for this full day is £25 and includes all materials although you are welcome to bring your favourite adhesives with you!

All classes are on a  first come first served basis. You can book either or both of these classes by visiting my blog at and using the PayPal button over on the right hand side. Once you have done this your place is confirmed.

Fresh Crafting Friends Offer – We all love to craft with friends so if you bring a paying friend who has never been to one of my classes before, I will give you a gift of 6, 6×6 Everyday Enchantment Papers and co-ordinating ribbon set as a thank you for bringing your friend to craft with us. Just book her place over on my blog using the PayPal button and I will have your paper and ribbon set waiting for you on the day!  Wow! Does it get any better than that? Well actually it does…I have a super offer coming up later this week or early next so pop back later and check out what it is….

I think that is about it for today….so till next time remember to stamp your place in the world! xxx

…And a Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all! Wow! hasn’t the time flown over? I cannot believe that Christmas has come and New Year now gone and it’s time to put all those well made good intentions and New Years resolutions into practice.  What were mine?  Ahh that would be telling wouldn’t it! It does most definitely include more card making and paper craft thats for sure! Oh! and it includes starting my Christmas cards in January again, but what I learned from this year is not to make them one at a time but to make them in batches, preferably in fives! So what do I have for you today?

Spring Mini! Yippee!

YES! the Spring Mini is here and you can grab a copy by dropping me an email with your postal address details and I will post you out your very own copy! Email me at  Is it fabulous? Of course it is and I cannot wait for you to see some of the beautiful and amazing products we have lined up for you. But here is a little taster…..

You Are Loved

This is the fabulous You Are Loved stamp set all ready for Valentines day. This set will work any time of the year as well but I made this one ready for MB as I am usually making his card around the 15th of February! I embossed with VersaMark and clear embossing powder and stamped the flowers by inking the stamps with Markers (remember our pens do this remarkably well but Copics and ProMarkers don’t) and stamping them out. I then cut around the image. I used the same stamp to make my background paper, stamping and embossing with VersaMark and clear embossing powder. And yes that is a touch of the rather gorgeous Red Glimmer paper in the background too! Yep, that is available in the Mini!  I cannot wait for you to see all the beautiful new products available to you for a limited time only mind! Don’t forget email me and I will post you out your very own copy of the Mini!

Whats Next? Oh! Yes, we will be using products from the Mini at our up and coming class at the end of the Month so if you haven’t booked your place, get it booked NOW!   Spring Stamp a Stack – Saturday 28th January 2011 – This is going to be an amazing day and places will be limited so book your place and don’t miss out! That means FREE PRODUCTS for one lucky participant!  Book your place now over on my blog to reserve your place on what is going to be an amazing day!  The Pay Pal Button is back in its usual place.

Technique Tornado Day – February 11th 2011 – Yes! it is the return of the amazing Technique Tornado Days ! Yippee! This first one will cover approximately 7/8 techniques, and focus on Valentines Day, Mothers Day and have a decidedly spring feel about it!  Don’t miss out – £25 for the whole day! there limited places available so book your place now and avoid disappointment!   No guest designers – Just me and a full day of crafting!  Use the PayPal button to book your place now! The Pay Pal Button is back in its usual place.

Stamp Club – Are you in the Club?  I run two stamp clubs – and they both begin again 1st January.  How do they work Lorraine? yes, i hear you – how do they work? well first you choose which club you want to be in – Stampers Six (you place an order for £25 each month for six months) or Stampers Ten – (you place an order for £15 each month for ten months) then towards then end of each month you send me your order. At some point during your run – 6 months or ten months  – you are the hostess and get ALL the hostess benefits! Now this DOES NOT mean we all pile round to your house for cake and crafting – it is a virtual club – but you still get the benefits as if we had all piled round to yours!  Sound like a great idea? It fans that you can spread the cost of your wish list and also benefit from hostess goodies! What a Great Idea! Email me now and book a place!

I have been busy making my boys’ thank you cards for them to write and send so I have a sneak peak of something that is coming towards the end of the month  – What More Excitement for us?  Yes Indeed! Can’t tell you what but watch this space….

New Stamps...New Designer Series Paper!

So I can’t tell you much about this yet….But…This is a new Stamp set that is coming VERY soon, it’s not in the Mini and you may be able to get it and the lovely new DSP that is peaking right out of the top of the card ABSOLUTELY FREE!  like the sound of that? me too and I can promise you it really is lovely!

This is one of the other Thank You cards I have been making…This is a stamp from the Ideas and Catalogue book 2011/2012, and I have been dying to use this stamp – it is so elegant! It is called Elizabeth and I simply stamped this in Basic Black on to Whisper White, Used Butterflies embosslits with Cherry Cobbler Card Stock and Stamped my sentiment with the same. I think the whole card took less than ten minutes to make including the inside but it makes a really classy and effective Thank You card for sending out. Of Course it would make any occasion depending on your sentiment!

And finally….Yep – the diet is back on starting Monday! I have slipped off the rails after having done so well, I did put a couple of pounds on between November and now but that would be all the pre Christmas Mince pies and cream I scoffed! I really do love them! Back to Paleo from Monday.  My eldest son, who has been home for the holidays is heading away to Val d’Isere on friday for a spot of skiing, so we wish him a safe journey and a happy holiday – we will see him the following weekend when we travel to his University to take all his things back for him – I know he does read this from time to time so have a great time Son – it’s been great having you home and we will miss you!  The Youngest son is back to school tomorrow and ready for it I think – there is only so much time he can spend on the xBox, isn’t there?

Until next time remember to Stamp your place in the world! xxx
