Simple and New!

Simple New Products and Simple New Ideas!

Stampin’ Up is launching their new Annual Catalogue on 1st June and with it come a whole host of Simple and New and fabulous products!

It is so exciting and I love it when the new launch comes around. I am always so happy that many products remain and then seeing how the new products sit alongside them.

I will be featuring some new colours, new products and new ideas over the next few weeks – and I still owe you a video! Its coming I promise…

Hostess Sets

This card featues one of the Hostess Sets – Hand Delivered. I chose this as my first project from the new Catalogue beacuse I always think these are over looked and this one  – in my opinion – is ablsolutely adorable and so versatile!

I have teamed it with a paper from one of the 6×6 stacks of DSP  – this one is called Garden Impressions and features some of the new ‘In Colours’  – more about these in the next post! and I stamped out the skirt and paper pieced it into place!

I have coloured the little flowers, the legs and the placard with Water Colour pencil using colours that match as far as possible.

The card stock is Whisper White and Pacific Point.

As I mentioned – there will be more next time of the new ‘In Colours’ and the whole colour palette refresh – lots to share on this point!

Until next time – remember to stamp your place in the world!

Delightful Daisies in the Middle of Winter!

Delightful Daisies

Back in November I attended the Stampin’ Up! OnStage conference. As part of that I joined with a group of stampers to do a project swap.  I used the Delightful Daisies stamp set in the middle of winter for my make for the other girls.

I, therefore,  laboured for hours over what I would make as it had been a while since I had been to On Stage or joined a swap. I didn’t want to let the other girls down as I know they are an amazingly talented group of girls. I had to really pull the rabbit out of the hat!

Just Breathe

At the end of many hours the Just Breathe sentiment was the last item that I added to the card and it symbolises completing the project and most of all I was able to sit back and look at what I felt was a satisfactory project.

I hope that you like this card and you can find the projects by clicking the link to the right up there!

Fancy Fold Male Card (or how to smash at Fathers Day!)

Fancy Fold Male Card

At the end of April and beginning of May I took a small holiday and totally forgot to blog this Fancy Fold Male card for you whilst I was gone!

Male cards are something of a nemisis for me even though I have a house full of men: father, husband and two sons!

I still dread having to make cards for them. Male cards at Christmas…? even worse and usually a complete disaster!

And then…I found this amazing fancy folded card. I would love to say that it was all my own idea..but it was not! The Fancy Fold was something I found on Pinterest (the original idea is from a lady called Samantha Clayton at Mixedupcraft.com) and I knew instantly that my next male card was going to be made with this fold. Chances are that all of my male cards are going to be made with this fancy folded card!

Video

I work fulltime as well as being an Independant Stampin’ Up! demonstrator so I dont always get everything done that I would like to. However, I am going to put a video out showing how to make this card shape…then stand back and see what you all make of it!

I have used extra thick whisper white card stock, and matched it up with True Gentleman DSP, Gold foil sheets and Night of Navy ink and Trult Tailored stamp set.

The inside of the card is finished with a Birthday Sentiment – I have so many male birthdays in a year!Customers can buy all of these items by clicking the link up there on the right. You can also use the shopping code for a extra benefits with a qualifying order.

I will be back with that video shortly but until then remember to stamp your place in the world!

In the Trees

In the Trees

Just a quick post this time to share this very unassuming stamp set – In the Trees.

I am currently on leave in Lisbon but I wanted share this quick card with you to let you know that I wish we could hang out more!

Stamparatus

I had loads of fun making and used the amazing Stamparatus to help me get that hammock perfectly lined up.  After that it was a piece of cake!

The new catalogue will be due out at the end of May and you will be able ot order your very own Stamparatus then and see how it will change the way you stamp forever!

Until next time…when I hope to bring you more news on the up coming new catalogue!

Dragonfly Dreams Card Set

Dragonfly Dreams Card Set

I had temporarily lost my Dragonfly Dreams dies on my desk after the last time I had used them. So I decided that the simplest way was to clear my desk. Whilst doing this I found lots of scrap DSP and Very Vanilla card stock. I did find my dies too!

Voila!

I then had a light bulb moment….team the Dragonfly Dreams and the scrap card stock to make a set of cute Thank You cards!

The DSP is scrap from the Sweet Soiree Speciality DSP. I then die cut the dragoflies in Silver card stock and used the amazing Stitched Shapes Framelits to die cut the DSP and Very Vanilla card stock.

I hope I get inspired like this more often as these made a super cute gift for a friend of mine when teamed with  envelopes, a lovely pen and a ribbon to tie everything together!

Fresh Dragonfly Dreams

Fresh Dragonfly Dreams

I was trawling Pinterest a few weeks ago – don’t we all do that? or is it just me? and found a wonderful card by this lady Laurie Jennings LINK HERE.

I loved her card but wanted to try and make it my own.

Instead of the lovely soft pinks that Laurie used I chose to go with spring greens.

It is such a wonderful design that Laurie came up with and I thank her for the inspiration.

Stampin’ Up! Inspiration

Stampin’ Up! Inspiration

Stampin’ Up! inspires me constantly. In Stampin’ Up! we are a big family and have lots of people around us. I am proud to have Zoe Tant as my upline and am regularly inspired by the fantastic projects she creates.

This next project came directly from Zoe and she very kindly allowed me to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) this next card. You can see Zoe’s original card and lots of other amazing projects on her blog here.

Cake Soiree Inspiration

I just love this stamp and die set! I can see so many occaisions when it is perfect!

For both these cards I have used a watercolour technique back ground.  I love the fresh finish that the water colour can give and it just adds a pop of colour without over powering the cake!

For the first card I have also used some numbers from the Cake Soiree accessories pack and for the second card I have used the fantastic sentiment from the stamp set.

How do you make these cards yourself?

You can buy all of these items by clicking on the link to the right there which will take you to my online shopping page where you can see lots of items on the clearance rack as well as some great products at full price but if you use the shopping code and your order qualifies, then you can benefit from the Stampin’ Up! rewards programme as well as receiving a little thank you gift from me!

Perfect Painted Harvest for Springtime!

Painted Harvest for Springtime

Stampin’ Up! have some amazing stamps and one of my favourites is this one – Painted Harvest.

The Painted Harvest stamp set is perfect no matter what the season – Winter, Spring Autumn or Summer.

Two Step Stamping

The beautiful flower can be stamped either on its own or layered up in a two step stamping technique which means that you have a multitude of different stamping choices!

There are also a couple of fantastic leaf shapes which can also be two step stamped.

I have stamped this set in several colours and I know that on Pinterest there is a plethora of different shaded flowers to inspire and surprise you.

In this version I have teamed Painted Harvest with Berry Burst and Pear Pizazz card stock. I have also used Berry Burst, Sweet Sugar Plum, Pear Pizazz and Early Espresso Stampin’ Pad.

The sentiment in the middle is a card from the Petal Passion Memories & More card pack. The ribbon is Berry Burst finely woven ribbon which is just so lush!

I will be adding more projects made with this amazingly beautiful stamp set over the next few weeks so please look out for these.

You can buy any of the items I have used in this project by clicking the shopping link over on the right there. In addition, you will find lots of discounted/discontinuing items to add to your Stampin’ Up Stash.

Until next time – remember to stamp your place in the world!

Retiring Party Panda’s

Party Panda’s

Although this stamp set has now retired following it being a real winner from Sale a Bration, I just had to share this card with you featuring the Party Panda’s.

I love the Party Panda’s, the card is full of colour and I am so proud of the balloons and how glossy they look! we won’t look too closely at the Panda Square as it is just slightly off kilter!

Colour is a big thing with my cards, whether it is for corodinating my accessories – which Stampin’ Up! just does so incredibly well – or just as a pick me up for a friend who is blue….

This card is for an older male friend of my husband. His health has not been so good in recent years but his sense of humour has always been impeccable.  The bright balloons perfectly reflect his attitude to life: light, bright and full of lift!

I am not going to give ou a product list on this occasion but I am going to ask you a question. What colour or colours do you use to lift a mood?

I look forward to you responses….just add your comments below and remember to stamp your place in the world!

Dragonfly Dreams in Springtime

Dragonfly Dreams From Stampin’ Up!

Spring is heading our way and swiftly following that will be Summer which always makes me think of Dragonfly’s. Specifically, Stampin’ Up!s Dragonfly Dreams.

How is the Card Made

This card is made with the wonderful Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams thinlits. First of all, I die cut the interlinked dragonflies and daubed over it onto the Bundle of Love DSP with Stampin’ Up! Pool Party ink to give a shadow effect.

Next, I Die cut the word LOVELY out of the Myths & Magic 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Glimmer Paper.

The large Dragonfly is die cut from Whisper White card then coated in Versamark before being heat embossed with Clear embossing powder mixed with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter. I have used Bundle of Love Speciality DSP on the front of the card and in addition on the ‘inside’ and again I have daubed it with Pool Party ink then finished the whole card with Shimmer Ribbon in Pool Party.

This card turned out really well because I have lots of friends with Summer Birthdays and so I will be making it again in a couple of different colourways! But most of all, I love that I dont have to work too hard to to match and coordinate all the items I have used.

I hope you like this and remember that you can order the products from my online shop – Stampin’ Up will deliver your items directly to you!
